โตโยต้า ไทยลีก ฤดูกาล 2019 จบลงด้วยความสำเร็จครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ของ สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด ที่คว้าแชมป์ได้เป็นครั้งแรกของสโมสร และคงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่า หนึ่งในกุญแจสำคัญสู่ความสำเร็จของทีมชุดนี้คือ วิลเลี่ยม เอ็นริเก้

จากเส้นทางอาชีพการค้าแข้ง ดูเหมือนคุณจะเป็นนักเตะจอมพเนจรพอสมควร แล้วเหตุใดคุณถึงตัดสินใจเลือกย้ายมาอยู่กับ สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด?

ตอนปี 2018 ผมมีโอกาสได้เดินทางมาที่ประเทศไทยกับผู้จัดการส่วนตัวของผม ก็ด้วยเหตุผลเรื่องฟุตบอลนี่แหละ แล้วท่านประธานสโมสรกับเฮดโค้ชของเชียงรายก็ได้มอบโอกาสพิสูจน์ตัวเองให้กับผม ผมก็แค่ทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อไม่ปล่อยให้มันหลุดมือเท่านั้นเอง

คุณเคยเล่นในระดับอาชีพที่ญี่ปุ่นและเกาหลีใต้มาก่อน จากประสบการณ์ที่คุณเคยเจอมา ฟุตบอลไทยต่างจากสองประเทศนี้อย่างไรบ้าง?

จริงๆ ฟุตบอลไม่ว่าที่ไหนมันก็มีสิ่งที่แตกต่างระหว่างกันอยู่นะ แต่ผมจะพูดถึงความสนุกในการเล่นละกัน ผมสนุกกับการเล่นฟุตบอลทั้งในเกาหลีใต้และญี่ปุ่นนะ รวมถึงตัวประเทศในภาพรวมด้วย ตอนนี้ผมมาเล่นในประเทศไทย ซึ่งผมก็มีความสุขมาก และหวังว่าจะได้เล่นที่นี่ต่อไปเรื่อยๆ ครับ

คุณเคยเล่นมาแล้วแทบจะทุกตำแหน่งในแนวรุก แต่หากถามใจคุณแล้ว คุณชอบเล่นตำแหน่งไหนมากที่สุด?

จริงๆ แล้วผมเล่นตำแหน่งไหนในแนวรุกก็ได้ครับ แต่ผมจะรู้สึกดีเป็นพิเศษเมื่อได้เคลื่อนที่ และฉีกแนวรับทีมคู่แข่ง ไม่ว่าจะจากริมเส้น หรือทะลวงตรงกลาง ที่สุดแล้ว ก็ขึ้นอยู่กับรูปเกม และสิ่งที่โค้ชต้องการให้ผมทำในสนามเพื่อช่วยทีมมากกว่าครับ

สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด มีชาวบราซิลอยู่ในสโมสรมากมาย ทั้งในส่วนของนักเตะและโค้ช ปัจจัยนี้ช่วยให้งานของคุณในการปรับตัวง่ายขึ้นหรือไม่?

โอ้... ช่วยได้มากเลยครับ ทั้งในส่วนของการสนทนา และทำความเข้าใจวิถีทางที่โค้ชของเราต้องการในสนาม ทั้งในสนามซ้อมและสนามแข่ง

ชีวิตนอกสนามของคุณเป็นอย่างไรบ้าง? คุณปรับตัวเพื่อรับกับการใช้ชีวิตในประเทศไทยอย่างไร?

ผมคิดว่าเป็นเรื่องดีนะที่ได้เรียนรู้การใช้ชีวิตในประเทศใหม่ ดังนั้นผมเลยไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องนี้เลย สิ่งที่ผมต้องทำก็คือ เรียนรู้ และรู้จักวิธีการดูแลตัวเอง ดูแลสิ่งต่างๆ ในทางที่ดีที่สุดและเหมาะสมกับสังคมนั้นๆ และนั่นทำให้ผมมีผลงานที่ดีในสนามแข่งด้วยครับ

เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด มีนักเตะดาวรุ่งชาวไทยฝีเท้าดีมากมายในทีมตอนนี้ คุณประทับใจผลงานของนักเตะคนไหนมากที่สุด

ผมประทับใจทุกคนเลย เพราะพวกเขาต่างรู้หน้าที่ของตัวเองดี ช่วยเหลือผมได้มากในสนาม จะพูดว่าเป็นเหมือนครอบครัวของผมเลยก็ว่าได้

สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด เริ่มต้นฤดูกาลด้วยฟอร์มที่ไม่น่าประทับใจนัก ทีมได้เปลี่ยนแปลงสิ่งใดจนพลิกสถานการณ์กลับมาเป็นแชมป์ โตโยต้า ไทยลีก และคุณรู้สึกอย่างไรบ้าง?

ผมคิดว่าช่วงออกสตาร์ทฤดูกาลนั้นยากเสมอ เพราะทุกทีมต่างก็เตรียมตัวเพื่อสร้างทีมที่ดีกันทั้งสิ้น ดังนั้น ช่วงเริ่มต้นจึงยากเสมอ ไม่ใช่แค่เรื่องฟุตบอล แต่ยังรวมถึงการใช้ชีวิตอีกด้วย แต่ด้วยการทำงานหนัก และการอุทิศตัวของทุกคน ทุกอย่างประกอบกันจนเราสามารถคว้าแชมป์ไทยลีกฤดูกาล 2019 ได้สำเร็จ สิ่งนี้ทำให้ผมมีความสุข และรู้สึกเติมเต็มด้วยการคว้าแชมป์

คุณยิงประตูไปไม่น้อยเลยทีเดียวในฤดูกาลนี้ แต่คุณชอบลูกไหนมากที่สุด?

ทุกประตูล้วนมีความสำคัญทั้งสิ้นครับ ฉะนั้น ผมชอบทุกลูกเลย

คุณคว้าแชมป์ระดับสูงสุดในวงการฟุตบอลไทยได้ทุกรายการตลอด 2 ฤดูกาลหลังสุด รู้สึกอย่างไรบ้าง และอะไรคือความลับเบื้องหลังความสำเร็จ?

ผมคิดว่ามันไม่มีความลับอะไรนะ หากคุณทำงานและทำทุกอย่างด้วยการอุทิศตัวและมีสมาธิ คุณสามารถทำทุกอย่างให้สำเร็จได้ด้วยวิถีทางที่ดีที่สุดเท่าที่คุณสามารถทำได้ กุญแจสำคัญ คือการทำงานโดยอุทิศตัวคุณกับสิ่งนั้นในทุกวัน

คุณวางแผนสำหรับอนาคตกับ สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด และฟุตบอลไทยอย่างไรบ้าง?

สัญญาฉบับปัจจุบันของผมกำลังจะหมดวันที่ 30 พฤศจิกายนนี้ ผมชอบ สิงห์ เชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด นะ และรู้สึกดีกับแฟนๆ รวมถึงทุกคนในสโมสร ก็คงต้องรอดูครับว่าอะไรจะเป็นสิ่งที่ดีที่สุดสำหรับผมและสโมสร ตรงนี้ผมคงให้สัญญาอะไรไม่ได้ เพราะขณะนี้ผู้จัดการส่วนตัวของผมกำลังหาทางเลือกที่ดีที่สุดให้กับผม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกับเชียงราย หรือทีมอื่นก็ตาม

William Henrique : What is the secret behind our league title?

2019 Thai League Ended with the historic success of Chiang Rai United with the first league title for the club. Can’t deny one of the key men is William Henrique.

11 goals 6 assists are the performance from Brazillian attacker. Let’s see his view about the past season and the secret behind the performance which team turned the table from poor start to the big success.

You seem to be a journeyman in football career. Why did you decide to go to Chiang Rai United?

I had the opportunity to come to Thailand in 2018 with my manager. The president along with the coach gave me that chance, all I had to do is make sure I didn’t miss it.

You played in japan and South Korea before. What’s the difference of football in Thailand, compared to these two?

Football is different anywhere in the world. I enjoyed playing in South Korea and Japan also. I liked the places too. Today, I am in Thailand, I am happy here and I hope to continue.

You played in almost every position in attacking field , but what position you prefer the most?

I like to play in any position of the attack. But I feel good making moves and breaking on the opponent from the wings or the middle. It depends on the game scheme that the coach prefers me to do on the field to help their team.

Chiang Rai United have many Brazilians as players and coaches. That makes your work for adaptation easier?

Yes, it facilitates! It helps a lot in conversation and understand the way he wants us to do on the field, in training and especially in games.

How’s your life off the pitch? How do you have to change something for living in Thailand?

It's good to learn to live in a new country, so I have no problem adapting to another country. I just need to learn and know how to feed and take care of myself the best way possible. This way I will have a good result on the pitch.

Chiang Rai United have many young Thai players in the team . Who you impress the most in terms of performance?

I like everyone. Everyone knows how to do their duties on the pitch. They are a family to me. I feel good with everyone's company.

Chiang Rai United had poor start at the beginning of this season. What the team have changed to turn the table until you won the Thai League? And how do you feel?

I think the whole start of the championship is hard. All teams are preparing and organizing to get a good team. So the whole beginning is hard. Not only in football but in life too. But with a lot of work together, and a lot of dedication from everyone, we managed to win the 2019 Thai league. I feel very happy and fulfilled in winning this competition.

You scored many goals for Chiang Rai United. Which one you like the most?

All goals were important. So I like every goal.

You won every top tier trophy in Thai football in last 2 seasons. How do you feel & what’s your secret behind the success?

I think there is no secret. If you work and do everything with dedication and concentration, you can do your job the best way you can. The key is to work and dedicate yourself everyday.

What do you plan for the future with Chiang Rai United & Thai football?

My contract is currently ending on November 30, 2019. I really like Chiang Rai United and I feel very good about the fans and everyone who works there. So let's wait and see what is best for me and the club. My manager will know how to choose the best option with Chiang Rai or other teams of interest.
